Summer Camps
At BRMS, camps are more than lessons or busywork. They are immersive, hands-on experiences where students ages 8 - 17 learn by doing: playing in bands, developing their voice, creating music, and stepping into their confidence.
Our camps are designed for students who want to explore music deeply in a supportive, inclusive environment, whether they are picking up an instrument for the first time or already performing regularly. All of our camps are great for Tweens and Teens!
GUITAR CHORD BOOT CAMP
Guitar Chord Boot Camp is designed for guitarists who want to sharpen their skills, deepen their groove, and play with others in a collaborative setting. Campers work on rhythm, technique, tone, and musical communication while learning how guitar parts fit into a full band context.
This camp is perfect for students looking to gain confidence, expand their musical vocabulary, and take their playing to the next level.
A growth-track camp for the serious minded guitarist, regardless of age or skill level.

Young band nation
This performance-driven camp is built for students who want to play in a real band, collaborate daily, and grow their confidence on stage. Campers rehearse together all week, develop stage presence, and learn what it takes to prepare for a live show.
The week culminates in a concert on Friday, followed by a bonus community performance on Saturday at Local Pop-Up, giving students the thrill of playing for a real audience beyond the studio.
For any student ready to level up, and for current YBN students who want to jam with new friends!

Musical Matinee Café
Designed for students who love singing, acting, and storytelling, this camp blends musical performance with theatrical expression. Campers develop stage confidence, character work, and ensemble skills while preparing for a unique live performance.
The week concludes with a dinner-and-a-show style performance, where families and guests enjoy a full theatrical experience that brings music, movement, and storytelling together in a memorable way with popcorn and sodas!
A voice camp first and for most, campers who love musical theater can flex while our pop stars rock!

YOUNG BAND NATION
This camp includes everything in the performance-focused experience, with an added emphasis on recording and creative production. Campers still rehearse daily and perform in the Friday concert and Saturday community show, but they also spend time in the recording studio learning how songs come together behind the scenes.
This camp is ideal for all Young Band Nation students, with special encouragement for singer-songwriters and budding music producers.
For experienced teens, this camp blends creativity, focus, and performance.

FAQs
We know families want the simple details before committing. Here are the most common questions we get about our Summer Camps—if you still have questions after reading this, use the Request Info form and we’ll help you choose the best fit.
-
What ages are these camps for?
Our camps serve two age bands:
Ages 13–17: Young Band Nation™ (Recording Focus) and Young Band Nation™ (Performance Focus)
Ages 8–12: Musical Matinee Café: Songs from Stage & Screen
Teens / newcomers: Guitar Chord Boot Camp (best for teens who want stronger chord fluency and confidence)
Does my child need experience to join?
-
Not always. Some camps are beginner-friendly by design (like Guitar Chord Boot Camp).
For Young Band Nation™, students do best if they have a basic foundation on their instrument or vocals. If you’re unsure, submit the request-info form and we’ll help you choose the best fit.
What is the difference between YBN Recording Focus and YBN Performance Focus?
-
Recording Focus: students form bands, write/arrange music, and track their songs in a professional studio environment.
Performance Focus: students build setlists, stage presence, and gear skills, ending with a live concert.
Both are high-energy, band-based intensives. Choose the one that matches your student’s goals right now.
A deposit reserves the spot. You can also choose pay-in-full at checkout.
Because group sizes are limited, we recommend placing a deposit as soon as you’re confident this is the right camp.
